How to apply
Applications for the cohort starting March 2, 2026 are due February 28, 2026. Complete the steps below to apply.
- Download the application form — Application Form (PDF). Fill it out completely.
- Submit by the deadline — Email your completed form to [email protected]. Incomplete or late applications may not be reviewed.
What we look for
- Alignment with our mission (safe, reliable, cost-conscious AI for small/regulated orgs)
- Research potential: clarity of proposal outline, feasibility, and output type
- Relevant background and skills
- Commitment: 20 hrs/week confirmed, Firewall understood, OPT/visa handled if applicable
- No conflict of interest; professional and collaborative fit
Applications are evaluated using the Selection Rubric and Review Committee Criteria. Decisions are made at the Lab's discretion; applicants are notified within 3 weeks of the decision.
Before you apply
Please review the Fellowship page, the Firewall Policy, and Research Expectations (or equivalent materials we provide). Confirm you can devote at least 20 hours per week to structured research and that you understand the research-only, no-employment nature of the program. If you are on OPT or another visa, you will need to confirm eligibility with your DSO before starting.
